Ashley was born in Jacksonville, FL, but as a Navy brat, she didn’t stay in one place very long and didn’t attend church regularly until high school. She moved to Gainesville, FL at eighteen to attend the University of Florida and heard about Shift Church while it was still in its pre-launch days, but kept finding excuses not to try it out. Ashley began serving as a vocalist after an invitation to join the worship team and started attending Shift, and quickly understood that there was something different about Shift.

After graduating with her Bachelor’s in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences with a minor in Business, Ashley felt God telling her He needed her in Gainesville at Shift Church, and she wasn’t going to argue with Him since she had never lived in one city for so many years. She began searching for a job so she could stay in Gainesville and was quickly hired as a Child Advocate at a local domestic violence shelter. Throughout her time at Shift, God has moved Ashley through several different roles in preparation for her current role as Creative Arts Director.
